Airvana’s skyBTS is a base station for an air-to-ground radio access network solution. The skyBTS is a ground-based network that can deliver broadband Internet connectivity to aircraft using EV-DO technology. Inside the aircraft, users will connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi-enabled devices such as laptop computers.

The Deployable RAN and DBX, respectively, provide EV-DO and UMTS mobile broadband capability within a transportable chassis that is compact, and easy to operate, transport and deploy.
